## The Problem
A mature tree in a residential garden in High Barnet, North London, had outgrown its available space. Its spreading canopy was shading much of the garden and extending towards the property. The homeowner wanted to reduce its size while retaining its natural shape.
## The Solution / What We Did
We carried out a crown reduction, carefully shortening selected branches to reduce the canopy’s height and spread. Cuts were made back to suitable growth points to create a balanced shape and support healthy regrowth.
All cut branches were lowered safely, processed and removed, leaving the garden tidy.
## The Result
The tree now sits more comfortably within the garden, with improved clearance from the property and a lighter, more balanced canopy. The homeowner retained a valued garden feature while gaining a brighter, more open outdoor space.
